The photo story:

I used to play football. I was a lineman. I enjoyed the power and intensity in the front line. Linemen are the labourers - they work hard for little glory and recognition. Much goes on in this micro battlefield that no one ever sees. Riveting stares burn and intimidation tactics brew.

In this series of football photos I wanted to show the intensity found in the front lines. Steve the lineman came through with flying colours.

Speaking of colour, these football prints were shot with the assistance of the cross process technique available when shooting on film. The rich hues and vibrancy add to the hidden power on the front line.
