The Photo Story:
I love the fun energy at a wedding. And often, it’s the dancing that shows the celebration the best. At this wedding overlooking the Rideau Canal, the bride was having the time of her life. She wouldn’t stop smiling - and WHY SHOULD SHE?! She danced the night away with her new husband. The best man stepped in for this photo.

This is one of my favourite wedding photos. Yes.
I was tired - shooting a wedding, photojournalistically, is a tough assignment! My job is to capture the stories, the smiles, the tears, and, of course, the dancing. I climbed precariously atop a dinner table and shot high speed slide film at a slow shutter speed with no flash to capture the motion, lighting and perspective that make this shot special… anything to get the photo.

The bride is still smiling many years later.

The Print:

All prints are printed and inspected by Dave Andrews - on the rare occasion Dave is unavailable (everyone needs a vacation!) your print may be created by another masterful printer.
