The Photo Story:
Michael Franti of Spearhead is tall!

I first saw him enjoying a show - from the crowd - at Bluesfest. He was towering above the other music fans, quietly soaking in the show. Other than his hair and size he blended in as a regular music lover. We were near the media pit at the main stage and, because we were far off to the side, there was lots of room to mingle. My chance to meet a legend! … or to let him be a regular human being as was the rest of the crowd. Through that festival I heard he was seen in Ottawa’s Little Italy regularly and gently roamed around in public - unlike any other artist I have seen!

I got my chance to capture Michael Franti and Spearhead later and was, of course, impressed! I am glad he did not pursue the basketball career!

The Print:
